:: lilium candidum

Bukannya tanpa alasan jika saya memilih lili putih atau Lilium candidum L. (dari famili Liliaceae) sebagai bunga kesayangan saya.

Pertama, lili putih, yang tumbuh di sepanjang Mediterania dan bagian Barat Asia ini mulai bermekaran pada bulan Mei–yang kebetulan merupakan bulan kelahiran saya.

Kedua, lili putih mengandung warna-warna kesukaan saya: putih (pada kelopaknya), kuning cerah (di bagian putiknya), dan hijau muda terang (pada batangnya).

Ketiga, lili putih kelihatan sederhana, minimalis, tetapi anggun. Ia tak mewah berduri seperti mawar (yang durinya bisa melukaimu tanpa sengaja), dan tak sewangi si mungil melati. Lili putih tidak berteriak dengan duri, tidak juga dengan wangi. Ia hening.

Dan dalam keheningannya, ia ada.

  9. Lili putih.. dia memang tidak banyak tersedia di toko bunga kesayangan saya.. selain mahal jarang pula yang mengambilnya ketimbang kembang lain-nya..

    tapi memeng punya daya tarik tersendiri – ia tegak menjulang anggun sekali.. πŸ˜€
